Business T-1

These services are top tier as it relates to quality of service and reliability. T-1 service allows for up to 1.54Mbps of bandwidth delivery to the customer and is run over a highly available data line provided by the telephone company.

Fractional and full T-1 are available via frame relay and point-to-point circuits. Customers who are outside of the Fargo, North Dakota or Minneapolis, Minnesota city limits may want to consider a frame relay circuit since point-to-point connections are priced based on distance.

Additional Information

Within Qwest Communications "lata" to which we are interconnected for both Minneapolis and Fargo area.
Installation typically occurs within 4 weeks from the time the order is placed.

Equipment

Router with T-1 CSU/DSU card and a Firewall (Should be purchased from Multiband.)

Q: Am I required to sign a multiple year agreement?
A: Multiband does not have any log-term agreements with T-1 customers, however, the telecommunications circuit provider (Qwest) will require either a 12, 36 or 60 month agreement. Pricing on the circuit decreases as the term increases.

Q: How fast is the connection?
A: The circuit is for 1.54Mbps, however most customers experience 1.0 - 1.2Mbps due to overhead on the telecommunication network.
